Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Reunifyr platform (“Service”), operated by Reunifyr LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account, subscribing to a plan, or otherwise using the Service, you (“Customer,” “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility & Account Registration

You must be at least 18 years old to create a tenant account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@reunifyr.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

2. Description of Service

Reunifyr is a multi-tenant, white-label platform that provides event management, photo and video galleries, family-tree genealogy, member directories, billing, and administrative tools. Each tenant receives a unique subdomain and isolated data environment within a shared infrastructure.

3. Subscription Plans & Billing

  • Paid plans only. There is no free tier. All plans require a valid payment method.
  • Billing cycle. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance. Annual billing includes a 20% discount.
  • Plan changes. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated charges. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from the Billing page. Your subscription remains active through the end of the paid period. No partial-month refunds.
  • Payment processor. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By subscribing you also agree to Stripe’s Terms of Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
  • Upload content that is defamatory, obscene, threatening, or infringes any third-party rights.
  • Attempt to access another tenant’s data or circumvent security controls.
  • Introduce malware, scripts, or automated scraping tools.
  • Exceed published plan limits (storage, photos, videos, events) through automated means.
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without written consent.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy without prior notice.

5. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload (“Your Content”). By uploading content you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, back up, display, and transmit Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service. We do not sell, share, or use Your Content for advertising.

You are solely responsible for Your Content and represent that you have the rights to upload it. We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

6. GEDCOM & Data Import / Export

The Service supports GEDCOM 5.5.1 import and export. Imported data is added to your tree and does not replace existing records. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of imported data. Exported files contain your tenant’s genealogy data and should be stored securely.

7. Multi-Tenancy & Data Isolation

Each tenant’s data is logically isolated using tenant identifiers enforced at the application and database layers. While tenants share infrastructure, we implement query filters, tenant-stamping interceptors, and access controls to prevent cross-tenant data access. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, logos, and documentation, is owned by Reunifyr LLC and protected by copyright and trademark law. Your subscription grants a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose during the subscription term.

9. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REUNIFYR LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR PROFITS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or at our discretion with 30 days’ written notice. Upon termination you may export your data for 30 days, after which it will be permanently deleted.

14. DMCA / Copyright Notices

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to info@reunifyr.com including: (a) identification of the copyrighted work, (b) the URL of the infringing content, (c) your contact information, (d) a statement of good-faith belief, and (e) a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.

15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association. You waive any right to participate in a class action.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be announced via email or an in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
